  • ​Kids and Teen Summer Reading Program: All Together Now

    Kids aged 3 to entering fourth grade are invited to register online or in person, and then receive a bag with prizes and instructions on how to participate. 4th grade and under sign-up here

    Tweens and teens entering fifth through twelfth grade are also invited to register online or in person and to earn entries for a weekly raffle drawing. 5th grade and above sign-up here

    Sign-up for everyone begins June 14; programs begin June 20. 
    Every child registered will also be entered into a daily raffle to win prizes from local vendors!

    The Library Board of Trustees will be hosting an open house and ribbon cutting on the renovated teen area. All are welcome! Light refreshments will be served.

  • ​Storytime at OMAA
    Tuesday, June 6 at 10:30 a.m.

    Children 0-6 years old and their caregivers are invited to meet us on the lawn of Ogunquit Museum of American Art (543 Shore Road, Ogunquit, ME) with a blanket for stories, songs, and movement; ending with a craft.

    Following storytime, children and their caregivers are invited to explore the museum with free admission!

    Tuesday, June 6 at 6 p.m.

    The Fiction Book Club meets the first Tuesday of every month and is open to all adults. Join us to chat about books, share favorite books/authors, and discover new favorites. This month we will be reading Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin.

  • TAB: Teen Advisory Board
    Thursday, June 8 at 3 p.m.

    Teens in grade 5 and up are welcome to join TAB to voice input and ideas about teen programs, space, and materials and exercise their leadership skills. Community service hour available for each meeting, as well as potential other opportunities in upcoming events. New members welcome!

    Monday, June 12 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

    Southern Maine Agency on Aging Medicare Program will be here to help answer any questions you may have on Medicare, such as how to enroll, understanding your Medicare coverage, or understanding your billing issues.

Mobile HotSpots to Borrow

Wells Public Library is happy to announce that we have added Wi-Fi HotSpots to our collection! Wells cardholders at least 18 years of age can check out the HotSpot for one week at a time, with no renewals. The HotSpots use T-Mobile 5G signal, and up to 10 user devices can connect to the signal.

Room Rental

Did you know our Meeting Room and Community Program Room are available to rent for all of your programming needs? Cost is $25 an hour for the Meeting Room and $50 an hour for the Community Program Room. Available to book for parties, events, conferences, meetings, etc. See this page for information about online requests: Meeting Rooms Info

The Meeting Room seats up to 14 people and can be used during open hours. The Community Program Room seats over 80 people and is available even when the library is closed! Call for more information or email sclaydon@wellstown.org to ask about room bookings.
