  • Great Decisions Discussion Group
    Friday, February 3 at 10:30 a.m.

    Join with other community members at the library for lively and informative discussions on the major global issues of our time. Meetings center on topics outlined in the Great Decisions briefing book provided by the Foreign Policy Association. Books may be purchased online at fpa.org/great_decisions or facebook.com/greatdecisions. The library will have one copy on reserve.  

    This month’s topic is China and the U.S. with a focus on Taiwanese sovereignty.

  • Adult Crafternoon – Small Mosaic Trivets
    Thursday, February 9 at 2 p.m.

    Join Leslie Doherty, Ways of Color artist/owner, for this afternoon craft of designing and creating your own small mosaic trivet. Leslie has over 25 years of experience designing, creating, and teaching stained glass art. All materials will be provided, and this workshop should take approximately 1.5 hours.

  • ​An Introduction to Community Solar
    Thursday, February 16 at 2 p.m.

    Join the Wells Public Library and EnergySage representatives for an info-session regarding the options for solar power in our community. EnergySage is the go-to for making confident energy decisions and gaining control over the buying process. Their online marketplace was developed to make solar and other renewable energy options affordable and accessible to all Americans.

Mobile HotSpots to Borrow

Wells Public Library is happy to announce that we have added Wi-Fi HotSpots to our collection! Wells cardholders at least 18 years of age can check out the HotSpot for one week at a time, with no renewals. The HotSpots use T-Mobile 5G signal, and up to 10 user devices can connect to the signal.

We are now a Fine-Free Library

The Wells Public Library is happy to announce that overdue fines will no longer be charged. Items will still have a due date and should be renewed if you wish to keep them longer, but there will be no fine if you return it past its due date.

If an item is more than four weeks overdue, a replacement cost will be charged to the patron’s account. However, if the item is returned in good condition, that charge will be waived.

We hope that this will make the library an even more enjoyable experience for all!

Room Rental

Did you know our Meeting Room and Community Program Room are available to rent for all of your programming needs? Cost is $25 an hour for the Meeting Room and $50 an hour for the Community Program Room. Available to book for parties, events, conferences, meetings, etc.

The Meeting Room seats up to 25 people and can be used during open hours. The Community Program Room seats over 80 people and is available even when the library is closed! Call for more information or to book the room, or use our online booking site.
